Xiaomi has been teasing their latest launch for a while now and today the company announced their next Redmi Note offering. Redmi Note 4 has launched in India at a press event in Delhi today. The event started with the focus on design changes that Xiaomi has brought to the next iteration of their most successful phones in India. Aluminum body and glossy separation lines on the back adds to the aesthetics of the phone’s beautiful design language. 2.5D glass with curved back provides a very nice in-hand feel. It measures 8.45mm at its thickest point and 5mm at the thinnest.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor which is an octa-core chip clocked at 2.0Ghz which is a very power efficient processor. In the camera department the phone comes with a 13MP BSI CMOS sensor with Phase Detetction AutoFocus (PDAF). Xiaomi decided to go with the larger pixel size this time around with 1.12μm which will help with low-light shots. For selfie enthusiasts, Xiaomi has included a 5MP F2.0 front facing camera with Beautify – PRO and SMART and built-in face recognition and 17-real-time filters. The phone comes equipped with 4100mAh high density battery as opposed to 4050mAh in Redmi Note 3. Even with only 50mAh difference, Xiaomi has promised 25% longer battery life with the new phone.
Redmi Note 4 comes in three variants as 2GB+32GB for INR 9,999, 3GB+32GB for INR 10,999 and 4GB+64GB for INR 12,999. Phone will go on sale on January 23 on mi.com as well as their online partner Flipkart.com.
